Sigurjón Þórðarson

Sigurjón Þórðarson ( born June 29, 1964 in Reykjavík ) is Icelandic politician ( Liberal Party of Iceland ). He is chairman of the party since 2010.

Life

Sigurjón Þórðarson graduated from High School in 1985. Until 1990 he studied biology at the University of Iceland and completed his studies with a Bachelor of Science degree. He then studied at Cranfield University technologies for water purification ( Water Pollution Control Technology). After graduation, he was a lecturer at the university and a high school teacher.

He is a priest of the Godentums ( Ásatrú ). He has three children.

Political career

From 2003 to 2007 he was a member of the Icelandic parliament Althingi for the North Western constituency. Since 2010 he has been Chairman of the Liberal Party of Iceland. Since May 2010 he is also represented in the council of Skagafjordur.
