Position of silver box in Thuringia

Silver box was a municipality in the district Greiz in Thuringia. On 1 December 2011 it was amalgamated with the hamlet Quingenberg after Zeulenroda.

Geography

Silver box is close to the Zeulenroda in the Thuringian Slate Mountains. The site is adjacent to White village. The municipality was also located directly on the Zeulenroda, consisting of only a few houses district Quingenberg. In it, the sailors have their domicile.

History

A place called silver box was first mentioned in 1505. The official mention of the settlement is from 1505 as " on the Zylos " before, with historians in this term refers to a form of the Sorbian word " selo " suspect (village). The village was renamed in silver box after some minor silver finds in the area. Quingenbergs first mention dates back to 1413. The hammer mill for silver box was a molten iron and a hammer mill, it appears from the parish register of 1628, in which Andreas Pissel stated on record as a miller. 1953 used the Wasserwirtschaftsverband the White Elster mill complex as children's camps, before 1966, the demolition of the hammer mill. By 1972 flour was produced in the Mahlmühl.

Until January 3, 1996 silver box was a member of the administrative community Auma, the community then belonged to the administrative community Auma Weidatal. On 1 December 2011 silver field was incorporated into Zeulenroda.
