Silke Gnad

Silke Gnad, nee Silke Fittinger, ( born November 20, 1966 in Stralsund ) is a former German handball player.
Career
Silke Fittinger began in her youth when ASV Stralsund. In 1980, she was delegated to the sports school to Frankfurt / Oder. There she gave in 1984 at ASK Vorwärts Frankfurt debut in the GDR Oberliga. With the club, she was, among other things three times GDR champion. In 1986, she made her debut in the national team of the GDR.
In the summer of 1990, she joined TuS Walle Bremen. In the seven years in Hamburg, she continued her success and has been with the team four times German champion and three times DHB Cup winner. With the German national team in 1994, she was elected Vice - European Champion and the best player of the tournament. In 1996, she went for two years to league rivals Borussia Dortmund Borussia Dortmund and then spent two years in Italy to Verona Vigasio. In 2000 she returned to Germany and joined the second division side SV Teutonia Riemke. With the club she was promoted to the first division. In 2002, she joined the third division HG Remscheid.
By May of 2012 was Silke Gnad assistant coach at third division HSV Solingen Graefrath. If "Not the man " was, she also played himself with yet.
Private
Silke Gnad has a professional training as a masseur and medical lifeguard. She is married to the former national basketball player and European champions Hansi Gnad, with whom she has two sons together. She lives in Burscheid and owns and operates a massage practice.
