Sillon de Bretagne

The Sillon de Bretagne is one of the largest (not highest ) skyscrapers in Europe. It was built in 1970-1974 and is located in Saint -Herblain in Nantes in the Pays de la Loire in France, about 400m east of the National Road 844

History

The building, the largest residential building in the French West was planned and built on the initiative of the mayor Michel Herblainer Chauty ( term 1959-1977 ). 1965 began with land purchases to 1967 presented a first architectural design. 1968 was the design and construction itself began in May 1970. 1971 attracted the first tenants and 1974, the last apartments were completed.
