Silly Fools

Silly Fools ( also abbreviated SF, Thai: ซิ ล ลี่ ฟู ล ส์ ) is a rock band in Thailand.

History

The band was founded in 1996 by Chakarin Chuprasoet. In 1997 the first album " EP " was released under the indie label Bakery Music. Then they switched to the label More Music, which is one of GMM Grammy, the largest label of Thailand. With "IQ 180 " followed then in 1998 the first full-fledged album of Silly Fools. The breakthrough came in 2000 with the album " Mint". With two top ten songs from the album " King Size", the album at the top of the charts and a tour with Sek Loso they had arrived at the top in Thailand. On " King Size" Silly Fools had made ​​a musical change of direction towards the mainstream. A major break came in 2006. During the summer Toe singer left the band. It was alleged that performances in pubs where alcohol is served, not compatible with his Islamic faith. Toe founded a short time later, the band Hangman, which can seem a bit dubious its reasoning for getting out at Silly Fools.

In November of Silly Fools occurred on the Fat Festival in Thailand. Silly Fools played two new songs in English. The singer wore during the performance, a mask on his face. The secret to the new singer was aired in January 2007. And on the appearance of the EP " Mini" it was a Limited Edition of 1000 pieces at GMM Grammy building, while the new singer was presented. It was Benjamin " Chung " Tuffnell, who sang at the Metropolitan band before. Ben was born in 1975 in Korea and adopted by an American family. He worked in Thailand as a teacher at the Assumption College Rayong, where he became acquainted with the music scene in Thailand also the first time. The EP " Mini" consisted of five songs, all in English. Produced and mixed by Greg Reely was the EP, a producer from North America. After the release of "Mini" you went on promotional tour of Canada and the United States. In March 2008, the last album to date by Silly Fools appeared. After the trip to the English one has added this album again in Thai language.
