Band History

Silly Wizard was founded in 1971 in Edinburgh, Scotland by Gordon Jones, Bob Thomas and Johnny Cunningham. From the band " Puddock 's Well " came in 1972 Andy M. Stewart. After she was still playing the first album Silly Wizard with Alasdair Donaldson, the accordion and took up the bass player Neil Adams, this soon after by the younger brother of Johnny, Phil Cunningham (accordion ) and Martin Hadden were (also of " Puddock 's Well ") at the replaced bass. After their third album So Many Partings Bob Thomas left the band. Before the recording of Wild and Beautiful Johnny Cunningham was in the United States down and only appeared sporadically with the other, but if they played near his home, he was always there. But in fact, the band since 1975, of Phil Cunningham, Andy M. Stewart, Martin Hadden and Gordon Jones.

The last album Glint of Silver, they released after 17 years as a band in 1986, their last concert was in April 1988.
