Silvana Jachino

Silvana Jachino ( born February 2, 1916 in Milan, † 28 August, 2004 Morciano di Romagna, Rimini ) was an Italian theater and film actress.

Biography

The daughter of composer and actor Carlo Jachino (1887-1971) was in the 1930s and 1940s, a popular actress, mostly in light entertainment productions Telefoni Bianchi - time of the Italian cinema. In the directed by Vittorio Mussolini magazine " Cinema" it was established in 1940 listed at number 15 of Italy's most popular actresses. Her first major role was played by the small, blonde actress in 1935 in L' aria del contienente.

She remained successful until the war of 1943, the Italian film industry brought to a standstill. In 1947 she started work again, but had to settle for minor roles in genre films content. Later she moved to mothers roles, including 1965 in her best-known film Juliet of the Spirits by Federico Fellini. In adventure films and spaghetti westerns of the 1960s, she appeared more often under the name " Susan Terry " on. In 1970, she ended her career.

Silvana Jachino was married to Guido Cingoli. She died at 88 years in a clinic in Morciano di Romagna and was buried in Rome.
