Vittorio Mussolini

Vittorio Mussolini ( born September 27, 1916 in Milan, † 13 June 1997, Rome) was the eldest son of Benito Mussolini and Rachele Guidi and an Italian film producer.

During the war of Ethiopia Vittorio was with his brother Bruno used under the command of Count Ciano in the " Disperata - Season " and participated in several combat missions. Also in the Spanish Civil War ( from 1936), he was involved as an air force officer battles.

From the 1940s Vittorio operated as a filmmaker, screenwriter and producer under the pseudonym Tito Silvio Mursino. As early as 1937 Vittorio Mussolini went to the United States to Hollywood. Together with Federico Fellini, Roberto Rossellini and Luchino Visconti, he founded the drawing-room, a sort of salon of the filmmakers. The last years of his life he lived in the country house of the family, in the Villa Carpena at Forli.

He was also active as a racing driver. Twice, in 1937 and 1938 he was at the Mille Miglia at the start. In 1937 he fell out; In 1938 he finished the race in 31 overall.
