Silver Party

The Silver Party ( " Silver Party") was a party in the USA, which was especially successful in 1900 in Nevada, where she presented two governors. Core theme of their political ideology was bimetallism, which she combined with her America 's most important coalition partner, the populist party. The most activists of the party changed after its decline to the Democrats.

The party was established on 15 September 1892, a conference of the Silver League of Nevada Winnemucca. In the U.S. presidential election in 1892, the three chosen for Nevada electors of the party to support the candidate of the Populist Party, James B. Weaver. In the U.S. Senate, the party sent in 1893 to the former Republican William M. Stewart.
