Silversword

Silversword is a system developed by Mario J. Gaida fantasy role-playing game. It was published on 13 January 2012 for iOS and is available for the iPad and iPhone. The role play has been developed based on the model of the classic role-playing game The Bard's Tale, but has a stand-alone story that has no connection to the original. The game is extended by a few modern game mechanics such as an auto-mapping function. Since the September 15, 2013 Silversword is also available in a fully localized German version.

Action

Silversword plays in the game world Tarnak that is being overrun by monsters and orcs. The player takes control of a group of adventurers who join together to exorcise in the ruined castle Cranbourgh to the hazards of the hordes of monsters. They make their way to the last free city Annsharbour, which is besieged by the Orcs. Along the way, the adventurers must find a way through the hordes of monsters, while also looking to explore dark dungeons.

Gameplay

The Adventures group is to be set composed of seven members whose character class and values ​​at the beginning of the game. Each character can be one of the seven races belong: humans, dwarves, elves, halflings, gnomes, high people and barbarians. Each race brings individual characteristics with the make itself felt in the game. Each character can distribute attribute points to the following attributes: strength, intelligence, happiness, constitution and dexterity. In addition, each character of a character class belongs to. For this purpose, a total of eleven character classes: Warrior, Paladin, Thief, Bard, Hunter, Monk, Summoner, Mage, Warlock, Wizard and Archmage.

Many gameplay elements were taken from the game series The Bard's Tale. The magic works, as with the classics of magic points are consumed when cast.

During the adventure, the characters have different puzzles or solve puzzles all parts of the game world to be able to enter. The dungeons are also often equipped with traps.

Extension

On April 9, 2013, the first extension called Rise of the Dragons was published. The extension is available as InApp purchase in the App Store and brings new maps, new spells, new skills and new character class dragon Rufer into play.
