Silvert Award
Silvert Award, Kalman H. Silvert award actually is a prize, which is awarded since 1983 by the Latin American Studies Association ( LASA ). It was named in honor of Kalman H. Silvert (1921-1971), the first chairman of the LASA and is awarded every 18 months. The LASA is currently affiliated (2013 ) from the University of Pittsburgh.
