The Simetsberg is a 1836 m high mountain in the Bavarian Alps in Estergebirge. The single peak is the eastern elevation of the Ester Mountains. Especially on the east side more accessible caves are incorporated in the lower third of the mountain. The summit is accessible as easy hike of Wallgau from. Geologically interesting is the rise over the so-called black trench. In winter, the tour is also popular with snowshoe goers. A delightful tour leads from Simetsberg on the Wildsee to Wallgauer Alm From Eschenlohe out you can ride a bike up to 1470 m altitude and then climb on foot on a dimly marked trail to the summit.
