Simon August, Count of Lippe-Detmold

Simon August, Count of Lippe (* June 12, 1727 in Detmold, † May 1, 1782 ibid ) reigned from 1734 to 1782, the county lip.

He was the son of Simon Henrich Adolf. Until August 1747 Simon reigned under the guardianship of his mother. Under the influence of the Enlightenment, he issued a new budgetary, social and legal order and led in 1749 lip along with Adolf von Hillensberg a budget in order not to spend more, were as revenue available. In 1765 he married Maria Leopoldine of Anhalt- Dessau ( * November 18, 1746, † April 15, 1769 ). Their son was Leopold ( December 2, 1767 *, † April 4, 1802 ).

Then he married in 1769 Kasimire of Anhalt- Dessau ( * January 19, 1749, † November 8, 1778 ). Her son was August (* October 9, 1777, † May 27 1809 ).

His fourth wife in 1780, Christine Princess of Solms- Braunfels (* August 30, 1744, † December 16, 1823 ).

After Simon Augustus 's death in 1782 his son Leopold I took on 5 November 1789, the government and left in the same year by the sculptor slip a monument in honor of his father in the former pleasure garden build ( today Location: Park Avenue in front of the Kurpark Bad Meinberg ).
