Simon de La Brosse

Simon de La Brosse, also in the spelling of Simon de la Brosse ( born October 9, 1965 in Paris, † April 17, 1998 in Suresnes ) was a French actor.

Life

Simon de La Brosse grew up in the Montmartre district of Paris, where he worked as a waiter in a cafe after the completion of the Collège. Here he was discovered in 1982 as a possible acting talent of Dominique Besnehard and transferred to Éric Rohmer. Rohmer put him as an actor of the young Sylvain in his film Pauline at the beach. In the following years de La Brosse received numerous roles in French and American film and television productions. In 1984 he began to study acting at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique, which he successfully completed in 1987. In the 1990s, his involvement decreased significantly. Simon de La Brosse died at the age of 32 years committed suicide. The last production in which he participated, the TV miniseries Louise et les marchés was erstausgestrahlt few weeks after his death on French television.
