Simon Richardson

Simon Richardson MBE ( born November 10, 1966 in Porthcawl, Wales ) is a British cyclist and won numerous medals at the Paralympic Games in Beijing.

Richardson was during a cycling training approached in 2001 by a car and carried them serious leg and back injuries. Three years later he started on the advice of the doctors again with the cycling.

In 2008 he took part in the Paralympic Games in Beijing and was the track races in the discipline 1- km time trial (LC 3-4) win a gold medal and set up by 1:14,936 minutes a new world record. Two days later, on September 9, he won his second gold medal in the individual pursuit (LC 3). When individual time trial ( LC 3 ) on September 12, Richardson won silver behind Laurent Thirionet.

Richardson is married and has two children.
