Simon Stefani

Simon Stefani ( born 1929 in Përmet ) is a former Albanian politician of the partia e puNES e Shqipërisë ( PPSh ).

Biography

1958 Stefani was of Greek descent, first deputy of the National Assembly ( Kuvendi Popullor ) and this was in the fourth and fifth term as the representative for the district of Berat until 1966.

Took place at the 7th Congress of the PPSh in November 1976 he was elected as members of the Political Bureau of the PPSh.

Between 1978 and 1991, he was from the ninth to eleventh legislative term of the National Assembly deputy. During this time he was of December 25, 1978 to November 22, 1982 Chairman of the National Assembly and thus Parliament President.

On May 7, 1979, he was also a member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the PPSh and held this function for almost ten years until his resignation on 2 February 1989. At the 8th Congress of the PPSh he was in November 1981, also a member of the Politburo elected and was a member of this top executive committee of the party until December 1990.
