Simon Trpčeski

Simon Trpceski ( born September 18, 1979 in Skopje, SR Macedonia, SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Macedonian classical pianist.

Trpceski studied music at the University of Skopje at Boris Romanov. His career as a pianist began in 2000 when he was awarded the second prize in the competition, held in London London International Piano Competition. He attracted attention, however, earlier than winners of international piano competitions in the UK, Czech Republic and Italy. In June 2001 Trpceski appeared in London's Wigmore Hall, which had excellent reviews consequence. In May 2003 he received the Young Artist Award by the Royal Philharmonic Society. After his debut in 2004 in Scotland with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, The Independent reported that very soon Concert by Simon Trpceski would be auctioned.

His debut in Germany he gave in April 2005 with the Deutsche Symphonie Orchester Berlin with Ravel's Piano Concerto in G Major. Has toured extensively the pianist also in the 2004/05 season in the USA, Australia, Asia and Europe. For the label EMI has Trpceski with the classics of Russian piano literature (including Prokofiev's Piano Sonata No. 8) previously recorded two CDs, the first of which in 2003 two times the Gramophone Award ( Editor's Choice and Debut Album Award) was awarded.

Simon Trpceski lives in his hometown of Skopje.
