Siobhán McKenna

Siobhán McKenna (actually: Siobhán Nic Giollamhuire Cionnaith; born May 24, 1923 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, † November 16, 1986 in Dublin, Ireland) was an Irish film and theater actress.

Biography

McKenna grew up in a typical Irish family, was spoken in the Irish. From 1940 she collected in a Gaelic Theatre in Galway first experience as an actress. In 1947 she was the first time in London on the stage, in 1954 her debut on Broadway in the USA. Although they also perceived movie offers, the theater remained McKenna's world; She was nominated twice for the Tony Award.
