Sironj

Sironj is a municipality in Vidisha district of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

Sironj is located about 65 km north- west of Vidisha, 97 km north east of Bhopal, capital of Madhya Pradesh, to which there are roads and bus links.

The nearest railway station is situated in Ganj Basoda (code BAQ ), just 40 km southeast of Sironj.

Sironj had, according to the 2001 census, approximately 42,100 people, of which slightly less than half were illiterate.
