Å irvinta River

The Širvinta is a left tributary of the šventoji. It rises in the district of Vilnius and flows through the Rajon Ukmergė and named after its county town Širvintos before it empties into the šventoji the village Dubiai ( between Upninkai and Vepriai Rayon Jonava ). The length of the river is approximately 130 kilometers. The rapid flow of Lithuanian relations, together with the charming nature, makes the river for kayakers and canoeists interesting.

The river's name derives from Lithuanian širvas " gray, white, mold (horse) " her.
