Sissel Rønbeck

Sissel Marie Rønbeck ( born May 24, 1950 in Hammerfest) is Deputy Director at the Institute for Cultural Heritage in Norway ( Riksantikvaren ). She was head of the Social Democratic Youth from 1975 to 1977 and a member of the Storting 1977-1993. As Minister in the Cabinet, she worked from 1979 to 1981, from 1986 to 1989 and from 1996 to 1997.

Between 1994 and 2011 she was a member of the Norwegian Nobel Committee to appoint the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize.
