Sissy Löwinger

Cecilia "Sissy" Löwinger (born 22 June 1941 in Graz, Styria, † 25 September 2011 in Altlengbach, Lower Austria ) was an Austrian actress, director and theater director of Löwinger stage.

Life

Background and education

Löwinger comes from one of Austria's oldest theatrical families, the acting dynasty Löwinger, and was the daughter of popular actors Liesl and Paul Lowinger. She was born in 1941 during a tour of the parents in Graz and was already as a baby in a laundry basket behind the stage. In this way they became familiar early with the theater atmosphere. The age of five she had her first small performances alongside her family on the Löwingerbühne.

Already from the age of five she started dancing and six years with the piano and accordion playing. Actually, they originally wanted to become a pianist, but decided at age fourteen for acting. She broke off their studies to take acting, singing, literature, and language teaching. Dorothea Neff gave her lessons, to make them ripe for the necessary stage examination. Dance they learned at Willy Fränzl and singing with Professor Knight 's home. At the age of seventeen she had already completed all the required tests.

Professional career

From her parents she learned everything that had to do with acting and the management of a theater. At first she was, together with her brother Paul Lowinger jun., Responsible for publicity and dramaturgy of the touring company. Even at 25, she organized the first tour of Austria, she was also responsible for the tour organizations, including by Germany and the United States, and celebrated on the stage triumphs.

At 31 she made her directorial debut and was from 1985 worked as a stage writer. Your now eight pieces, all of which were shown on television, but she wrote under the pseudonyms Helmut main or Justus Schaub.

After the death of her father in 1988, she took over, for the time being together with her brother, the management of the theater. In 1996, she ventured into a completely new for her project, she became vice - director at the circus Althoff Jacobi. Since 1997, the Löwinger stage again toured through Austria.

The future stage, however, is uncertain. Sissy tried until her death to go at least one or two productions per year on tour. Her daughter Martina explained that she did not want to take the same profession as her mother.

Marriages

Sissy was Löwinger to 1965 first marriage with Rudi Grima, on March 8, 1964 their daughter Martina was born. From 1969 to 1972 she was married to the Nuremberg comedian Herbert Hisel, who was also her stage and screen partner. In July 1977 she became the second wife of television presenter Peter Rapp, her third marriage ended in divorce on 12 March 1985. Since 2001, she was married to the film Businessman Peter Blechingerová and lived with him in a house in Altlengbach. The two first met at a carnival session in Neulengbach know.

Sissi Löwinger died, according to information from the emergency physician on site, from the effects of pulmonary embolism during the evening of the 25th September 2011 at the age of 70 years.

She was buried in the municipal cemetery of Altlengbach ( grave number 261).
