Sissybar

The Sissybar referred motorcyclists jargon the ( padded ) seat back of the passenger seat of a motorcycle, which sometimes can be found in choppers and cruisers. The sissy bar provides for a comfortable grip and the front passenger has on the other hand, the function of the decoration of the motorcycle.

In the eyes of many other motorcyclists it stands, as a synonym for unnecessary extras or chrome ballast.

Literally translated means Sissybar " Sissy " or " Heulsusenstange ".
