Sistranser Bach

Confluence with the Lanser Bach

The Sistranser creek rises near the Sistranser Alm in 1400-1600 meters above sea level. It is composed of five nearly equal source streams that look like a fan on the map. It flows from south to north and then flows through the towns of Sistrans, Aldrans and the city of Innsbruck.

At Ambras Castle, the river divides into two branches. The side flows into the park. When lock case, the water falls down from height of 20 meters in depth and thus forms one of the most interesting eye-catchers of the water.

The main branch flows along the castle wall and flows into the district of Innsbruck Amras of the right side in the Lanser Bach. It reaches a length of about 6 km.
