Situation is a song by British synthpop band Yazoo. It was written and composed by Vince Clarke. The song has a playing time of 3 minutes and 44 seconds and is sung by Alison Moyet.

Formation

Originally the song was pressed as a B-side of Yazoo's debut single "Only You", which climbed to number two on the UK Singles Charts. When the song came out as a separate single in the U.S., it climbed to number 73 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the summer of 1982 it was Yazoo's first song at the top of the Billboard Hot Dance Club charts and stayed there for four weeks. It also climbed into the R & B charts at # 31 Laughter by Alison Moyet has been sampled in many other songs, including the international dance hit " Macarena ".

The song was used in 2002, the rules of the game in the film.

In the years 1990 and 1999, the song by various DJs, including Peter Rauhofer and Richard " Humpty " Vission was remixed. In 1999 the remixes were played in clubs, then "situation" rose in October 1999 for the second time at number one on the Billboard Hot Dance Club charts.
