SK Sparta Krč

Sparta Krc is a Czech football club from the south-eastern district of Prague Krc. In the 2007 /08 season the club played for the first time in its history in the 2nd Czech league.

Club history

The club was founded in 1910 as RH Krc. Until the name change to AFK Sparta Krc in 1919 there is no record of the activities of the club. From this year the club took part in the match operation of the Central Bohemia region, initially in the lowest division. In 1923 Krc was incorporated into Prague, the club changed its name to RH Praha XIV. In 1927, the club returned to the name Sparta.

In the same year the team scored the first ascent of the fledgling club's history, in the III. třída. Shortly thereafter, the officials changed again as the club name: henceforth the team played as AFK Sparta Krc. Already in 1929 the club celebrated promotion to the Second třída and only a year later, the team was relegated again, this time in the top flight of Central Bohemia, the so-called třída 1.A.

After the Second World War, the club was originally called Sokol Sparta Krc. 1953 merged the club with Jiskra Michle to TJ Montáže Krc, 1957, the name was in TJ Jiskra Montáže Praha, as amended in 1961 in TJ Montáže Praha.

The team was mediocre from 1960 to 1965, then played but only in the lower classes. 1977 succeeded Montáže přebor return to the then fourth-rate Pražský, Prague city league. In the 1980s, the team shuttled between the now fünftklassigen Prague City League and the fourth-rate Divize.

The rise in the 3rd league succeeded Montáže 1990. Two years later, the club returned to its old name Sparta, but also took the sponsors abbreviation BB on in the name. Since 1995, the club bears the current name SK Sparta Krc.

Sparta Krc rose in 1996 from the 3rd league off, but immediately back on. In the 2003 /04 season the team was relegated again and immediately back on. The game year 2006/ 07 ended Sparta Krc in second place. Since the FK Chmel Blšany was denied the second division license for the 2007/ 08 season, Sparta Krc could take its place in the second professional league. After just one season Krc rose again from the professional camp.

Financial difficulties led to the team in the season 2009/10 filed přebor only for the fünftklassigen Pražský despite a third-place finish in the 2008 /09 CFL season.

Stadium

The football field of Sparta Krc is located within close proximity to the creek Kunraticky creek and baseball area of Sokol Krc, which includes four baseball or softball courts. The capacity is around 2,000 spectators. Because the own stadium does not meet the criteria for the second league, Sparta Krc wore its home games in the second division season 2007/08 in Evžena Rošického stadium from where Samtagvormittags but only a few hundred of them gathered.
