Skalka (Hazlov)

Skalka ( German Rommersreuth ) is a district of the municipality Hazlov ( German Haslau ) in Okres Cheb in the Czech Republic. 2001, the city had 125 inhabitants.

Geography

Skalka is from the village three kilometers north-west. In the same distance is to the southwest of Skalka, the neighboring district Lipná. West of the village thrives a dense forest. One and a half kilometers north meets one to another district of Hazlov, which means Výhledy ( Stone Green ). Nearly three miles behind a wooded area, but with no direct road link, the Saxon Schönberg is located in the east of the village of Skalka.

In 1991 the village had 34 inhabitants, the census of 2001, there were in the 11 houses of Skalka 125 people.

Rommersreuther Switzerland

Skalka in Czech means " Felschen ", which is probably due to the Goethe rock in a wooded area north-west of Rommersreuth. This in turn go back to its name sake stay Johann Wolfgang von Goethe in the locality.
