Skandławki

Skandławki ( German Skandlack ) is a village in Poland in the Warmia - Mazury. It belongs to the municipality Srokowo ( Drengfurth ) in the powiat Kętrzyński.

Geography

The village is located in north-eastern Poland, about seven kilometers south of the border with the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast. The parish seat Srokowo located eight kilometers south-east.

History

1817 decreed today Skandławki over 12 residential buildings in which 187 people lived. Approximately 1821 were the lands owned by the family of Siegfried Jäglack. 1844 (1784-1864) built a manor house in spätklassizisitischem style by the architect Klenze. In 1900, possessed the estate over an area of ​​506 hectares, of which 160 hectares of forest. 1945, at the end of the Second World War, the Red Army marched into the area.
