Skee -Lo, was Antoine Roundtree, ( born March 5, 1973 in Poughkeepsie ) is a well known rapper in the 1990s. Skee -Lo was born in upstate New York and grew up in Riverside, California. Thematically usually treated his lyrics life in Los Angeles.

With the song I Wish, sampled from Bernard Wright Spinnin, he reached the 13th place on the Billboard charts in the German single charts and number 14 in Switzerland 10th place The single became the one- hit wonder and received as well as the eponymous album in 1995 gold.
