The Skellefteå Airport ( IATA: SFT, ICAO: ESNS ) is an airport located near the village Falmark, which is located 20 kilometers south of the northern Swedish town of Skellefteå and a good five kilometers west of the town Bureå.

The inauguration of the airport took place in 1961. 1966, the start and runway was widened and introduced the instrument landing in the same year. The original runway was extended in 1979 to 1800 meters, the terminal 1991 expanded. The current length of 2100 meters was the runway in 2002 and a new control tower was built in 2004. The management of the airport took over the Skellefteå municipality on 1 April 2010 by the state-owned enterprises LFV after its restructuring after LFV had decided to focus more on the core business of Stockholm.

The airport mainly takes place along the line. So in 2009 traveled only 10,000 of the total of 205,000 passengers on charter flights. Regularly the Stockholm-Arlanda Airport is served by SAS Scandinavian Airlines. Offered charter objectives include Antalya ( Corendon Airlines ), Palma de Mallorca ( Air Europa ) or Rhodes ( with Orbest Orizonia Airlines).
