History

The company was created in 1924 under the name " Michel Electric Hand Saw Company". The founders were the inventor Edmond Michel and the entrepreneur Joseph Sullivan. The business objective was to facilitate the manual work and to develop suitable machines. The first serial product, the world's first electric circular saw, got the name " Skilsaw " and in 1925 was named to the joint company, the Skilsaw Inc.
