Skopje Statistical Region

The Skopje region ( Macedonian Skopski region Скопски регион; Albanian Rajoni Shkup ) is one of the eight statistical regions in the Republic of Macedonia; the highest administrative level. The management unit is further divided into eight Opštini, which represent the last administrative level. However, the municipality of Skopje is subdivided into 10 districts who hold certain functions of a self-management. The region is located in the north of the country, bordering Kosovo.
