Skutskär

Skutskär is a place ( tätort ) in the Swedish province of Uppsala County and the historic province of Uppland. He is also the capital of the municipality Älvkarleby.

38 hectares in the village with 309 inhabitants ( 2010) belong to the community Gavle the neighboring province of Gävleborg; so is Skutskär one of the eight tätorter Sweden, lying on the territory of two provinces.

In Skutskär the Dalalven flows into the Baltic. The largest employer is the paper mill of Stora Enso, which has its origin in the sawmill of Skutskärs bruk in 1869.
