Sky Architect

Sky Architect is a Dutch progressive rock band from Rotterdam, which was founded in 2006.

History

The band was formed in 2006 by guitarist honeycomb Wieringa, keyboardist Rik van Honk and drummer Christiaan Bruin. Later, guitarist and singer Tom Luchies and bassist Guus van Mierlo joined the band, and thus completed the occupation. In 2010, the band reached an agreement with Galileo Records, which the band released their debut album Excavations of the Mind in the summer of the same year. Illustrator Mark Wilkinson, who has already worked for Marillion, Fish and Judas Priest, designed the cover.

The second album was released in 2011 and was called A Dying Man's Hymn.

Style

The band plays classic progressive rock, the music is described as a mixture of King Crimson, Gentle Giant, The Flower Kings and Porcupine Tree.
