Slagsmålsklubben
Slagsmålsklubben - also known as SMK - is an electropop band from Sweden. The name Slagsmålsklubben is a translation of the title of the film Fight Club into Swedish. With their side projects 50 Hertz and Häxor och Porr they appeared Björk Compilation Army of Me: Remixes and Covers on.
History
Slagsmålsklubben was founded on 2 November 2000 in Norrköping, Sweden by Joakim " Beebop " Nybom, Björn Nilsson and Joni Mälkki, who were all members of the progressive rock band The Solbrillers.
The idea to create a synth-pop band, they came at a band rehearsal with The Solbrillers. As the lead singer of the band did not show up, they decided to join Joni's old synthesizer to his guitar amp. The three recorded a few songs, which led ultimately to the formation of SMK.
Hannes Stenström came a year later ( 2001) added to the band, because he had much better synthesizer than the others. 2003 Frej Larsson joined them, after they had made the 7 " Hyreshusklossar together and in 2004 came to Kim Nilsson.
2005 pulled the whole band to Berlin. 2011 returned all members back to Stockholm. There they share a villa with a recording studio in which the fourth - was recorded and edited album - so far untitled.
