SÅ‚ajszewo

Słajszewo ( German Schlaischow ) is a village in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship, powiat Wejherowski, Choczewo.

Geographical Location and Transport

Słajszewo located in Pomerania, about 15 kilometers east of the town of Leba ( Leba ) and 26 kilometers north of the city Lębork ( Lauenburg i Pom. ). Neighboring towns are Sasino ( Sassin ) to the west, Biebrowo ( Bebbrow ) in the northeast and Ciekocinko ( Zackenzin ) in the south. The distance to the Baltic Sea in the north is about 4.5 km ( straight line ).

The village lies on a road, which at Kurowo ( Korow ) of the Province Road 213 Slupsk - branches off to the north - Krokowa ( Krockow Stolp ). The nearest railway station is in Kurowo.

History

In 1492 the hinterpommersche noble family Rebke was (also Repken, Ropke, Röpke ) in today's Słajszewo (formerly also Slaischow, in the 16th century Slawekow, Kashubian Sławúszewo ) resident. In the 16th century de Rapkene van Massow and Slaweko had in the case of war, conscription, provide a horse. The noble estate village Schlaischow had, around 1784 two outworks and there was in the village ten Kossäten and a total of 15 households.   • Schlaischower mill

Principal place of residence was Schlaischow. On the 9.2 km ² municipal area stood together 33 residential buildings. In the year 1925 328 inhabitants were counted in the municipality, which were distributed to 51 households.

Before 1945 Schlaischow belonged to the district of Lauenburg i Pom. in the administrative region of Pomerania Pomerania.

Towards the end of the Second World War, the region was conquered in the spring of 1945 by the Red Army and then put together with all Pomerania under Polish administration.

On 31 December 2009 the village had 120 inhabitants.

Church

The village population present prior to 1945 was largely predominantly Protestant. In 1925 there were in the village community Schaischlow a population of Catholic denomination. The Protestants of all three districts belonged to the parish Zackenzin. From the early days of the Reformation until at least the 18th century Schlaischow had been the parish in the parish Ossecken.
