Slam FM

SLAM! FM (Sound Lifestyle And More ) is a private radio station in the Netherlands with music from the genres Dance, Urban and charts. The station has the slogan "Power To The Beat " and is aimed at the target group of 13 - to 34 -year-old man.

History

The station was launched in mid -90s under the name New Dance Radio. Back then you could receive the station exclusively on the Dutch cable network. In 2000, the media company ID & T took over the station and named it in SLAM! FM order. A year later, however, the transmitter being renamed again had to undergo, and was called from 2001 ID & T Radio. After frequency assignment in 2003, the radio station was finally received on VHF. At this point, you still sent without self-produced programs. The situation changed dramatically in the course of 2004. A year later sold the majority shareholder Duncan Stutterheim by ID & T, 66 % of its shares on the transmitter to Lex Harding and Ruud Hendriks. This gave the station in early 2005 again its old name back, namely SLAM! FM.

27 April 2011 it was announced that the station will be taken over by RTL Nederland. The takeover was finally completed on 1 June 2011. But as early as January 1, 2012 this will change again, because from then SLAM! FM be a part of Talpa Media Holding. The reason for this is a deal between the RTL Group and Talpa. However, both the musical as programmatic content of SLAM! FM is to remain unchanged. Furthermore, the radio station in the future will also be a springboard for new moderators talent.
