Slávičie údolie cemetery

The cemetery Slávičie údolie (Slovak Cintorín Slávičie údolie ), literally " Nightingale Valley Cemetery ") is a cemetery in the Slovak capital Bratislava, in Karlova Ves district. It is located on the road Staré grunty, in the buildings of Slovak Television and dormitories of the Comenius University and Technical University. The same road Slávičie údolie is already in the district Staré Mesto (Old Town ).

The cemetery was founded in 1912 and served at the beginning for poorer sections of the population. During the First World War soldiers were buried here also. Today is the 18.5 -acre cemetery is the largest in Bratislava and the final resting place for leading Slovak artists, scientists, athletes and politicians.

To this day, actively buried at the cemetery.
