SÅ‚awomir Jan Piechota

Sławomir January Piechota ( born January 1, 1960 in Tomaszów ) is a Polish politician, Platforma Obywatelska ( Civic Platform ).

Since the age of 12 is Sławomir Piechota, due to an accident, a paraplegic. He graduated from the law faculty of the University of Breslau. Between 1990 and 1994 he was a disabled officer of the Province of Wroclaw. He was also head of the Province Centre for Employment and rehabilitation of disabled people. In 1994 he became a member of the City Council of Breslau where he first vice-chairman and later chairman until 1998. From January 1999 to November 2002 Piechota was then a member of the Executive Board of the city of Wroclaw. In the 2005 parliamentary elections Sławomir Piechota could win a seat in the Sejm. This mandate for his defense in the early general elections in 2007. In 2010, Piechota candidate for the post of Mayor of Wrocław, Rafał Dutkiewicz but had to concede defeat.

Sławomir Piechota has been married since 1985 and has two children.
