Slobodan Komljenović

Slobodan Komljenović ( born January 2, 1971 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a retired German - Serbian footballer and current coach. He is right-footed and played in central defense.

Career

Association

As a youth player he was active at Viktoria Griesheim, SG 01 Hoechst and at Eintracht Frankfurt. His professional career began in 1992 at Eintracht, for whom he played three years in the first Bundesliga. After a year in the Bundesliga 2, in which the harmony with seventh missed its chances of promotion, he moved to MSV Duisburg and so again in the first league. There he reached the final of the DFB-Pokal in the first year. The MSV lost the final against Bayern Munich 1-2. In the summer of 2008 he went back to Germany and hired VfR Jettingen, where he ended his active career in April 2010.

Komljenović was a participant at the 1998 World Cup in France and the 2000 European Championships in Belgium and the Netherlands for the Serbian - Montenegrin national team.

Coach
