Słowiński National Park
The Slowinski National Park (Polish Slowinski Park Narodowy ) is located in Eastern Pomerania on the Baltic coast - the " Baltic Sea" ( Morze Bałtyckie ) - between the towns Lębork ( Lauenburg ) and Slupsk ( Stolp ) in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship. The land (550 ha) summarizes some typical natural habitats together: Breitstrandige coastline, mighty sand dunes ( Łącka Góra 42 m high) on a Spit, quiet riverbank games and the largest Küstensee west of Gdansk. Between the coastal towns Ustka ( Stolpmünde ) and Leba ( Leba ) runs along a 35 km long distance hiking trail.
The park's name refers to the people of the Slovincians, who originally lived on the edge of Lebasees.
