Små grodorna

Sma grodorna ( The little frogs ) is a Swedish song with accompanying dance which is mainly associated with the celebration of the Midsummer Eve and the traditional dance around the Christmas tree.

The dance is performed jumping and squatting. Here you wobble in the text passages in which missing ears and a missing tail are sung, with your hands next to your ears and on the rump. Sometimes the song continues with other species, while the word is not replaced if necessary to fit.

The song with accompanying dance is considered by many to be an important part of Swedish culture. Critical was reported in the press that it was queried by the Swedish Embassy in Paris, in a test to determine whether long abroad because end Swedish citizens still have enough starting points to Sweden in order to retain their citizenship are allowed.

The song is in the movie Minority Report by Steven Spielberg in an eye doctor ( played by Peter Stormare ) sung. Here, however, is used in place of ears ( öron ) the word eyes ( ögon ).
