SmartLynx Airlines

SmartLynx Airlines is a Latvian charter airline based in Riga and based on the Riga airport.

History

SmartLynx Airlines was founded in 1992 in Riga and in 1993 to operate with a leased Tupolev Tu- 134. In 2006, a partnership with Icelandair, which took a 55 percent stake SmartLynx Airlines began.

Destinations

SmartLynx offers its aircraft to primarily in ad hoc charter and wet-lease to other airlines. In the summer season 2013, it flew for example, Condor and the Czech Travel Service.

Fleet

As of October 2013, the fleet consists of nine aircraft SmartLynx:

  • 9 Airbus A320 -200 ( 3 operated for Travel Service, Thomas Cook Airlines for 2 and 1 for Corendon Airlines, Tailwind Airlines and Condor )
