Smoothwater River

The Smooth Water River is a river in southern Westland District in the West Coast region of New Zealand 's South Island.
It rises several source streams in the mountain range east of Stafford Lake Ellery and flows through a broad plain between the range and the Stafford Burmeister tops to the north. He takes the water of several tributaries, including the Sparkle Rill, Kapako Creek and Saddle Creek.
After about eight kilometers it flows east of the local Jackson Bay in Smooth Water Bay in the Tasman Sea.
