SNCASO

The Société Nationale de Constructions Aéronautiques du Sud -Ouest, SNCASO abbreviated, was a French aircraft manufacturer.

The SNCASO was created in 1936 as part of the nationalization of the French aircraft industry as a merger of the factories of Blériot Aéronautique in Suresnes, Bloch at Villacoublay and Courbevoie, of SASO in Bordeaux -Merignac, from the Usine de Construction Aéronautique (UCA ) in Bordeaux - Begles, of Société Aérienne Bordelaise (SAB ) in Bordeaux and Lioré & Olivier in Rochefort. In 1941 it absorbed additionally the SNCAO. From 1945 to 1949, Henri Deplante technical director of SNCASO.

In March 1957, the SNCASO merged with the SNCASE the company Sud Aviation.

Among the best known types that have been produced by the SNCASO include the average bomber Lioré & Olivier LeO 451, the transport aircraft SNCASO SO -30 Bretagne and the tactical fighter jet SNCASO SO- 4050 Vautour.
