Śnieżnik Mountains

The Śnieżnik Mountains ( Polish Masyw Snieznika; Czech Kralicky Sněžník ) is a mountain ridge on the border of Silesia, Bohemia and Moravia, east of Habelschwerdter Mountains. It forms the southeastern boundary of the Glatzer boiler. In the north- east, the mountains close to Biel. On the crest of the mountains Śnieżnik the state border between Poland and the Czech Republic runs. The highest elevation is the Glatzer Schneeberg ( also Big Snow Mountain, Králický Schneeberg, Spie Glitter Schneeberg; Śnieżnik Polish, Czech Kralicky Sněžník ) with 1425 m height.

On the western edge of the mountain range is one of the two central European watershed points (the other is located in Switzerland on Piz Lunghin west of the Maloja Pass ). Are located on the western slopes of the ridge, the sources of three watersheds: Southeast from the summit flows from 1380 m altitude, the water of March over the Danube into the Black Sea; from the southwest slope of the south-westerly lying rattle stone (Polish Trojmorski Wierch ( = Three Seas mountain ), Czech Klepý ), 1145 m high, the water through the Lipka creek, the silence eagle and the Elbe flows into the North Sea; and on the north-western slope arises from the Glatzer Neisse, which flows into the Oder and then flows into the Baltic Sea. - The Krupá also has its source in the mountains.
