Sniff 'n' the Tears

Sniff ' n' the Tears is a British rock band, which was founded in 1977. Frontman and sole stable member is Paul Roberts.

By far their biggest international success was the song Driver 's Seat, which was published in 1978. The first presentation of this song took place at the television show Top of the Pops; However, this developed for the band to be a disaster, since the single was not initially marketed due to discrepancies with the publisher. That same year, followed by a tour of Germany and Spain; later as the opening act for Kenny Loggins and Kansas by America.

Driver 's Seat was published in Germany in 1979, but managed only in the airplay charts. Only when the song in 1991 at a Nissan commercial was used, also managed in Germany entry into the sales charts. In 2002, the song was re-used for a commercial, this time from Blaupunkt.

The band was having none of their later albums to the success of the first plant Fickle Heart, which contains Driver 's Seat, tie, so they broke up in 1992 for the first time. In 2001, Paul Roberts under the name Sniff ' n' the Tears released the album Underground, which he had taken on its own.

Paul Roberts painted the most cover images of the albums themselves

In 2011 a new studio album was released.
