Soay is a 0.97 km ² large, uninhabited island in the Scottish St. Kilda Archipelago, the most remote island group in Britain. This archipelago is located in the Atlantic Ocean, adjacent to the Outer Hebrides.

Soay is located approximately two kilometers north- west of the main island of Hirta and is considered the most westerly point in Scotland. Here, the significantly further west rock Rockall is not expected to Scotland. Between Hirta and Soay are the Stacs Soay Stac (61 meters high) and the 73 meter high Stac Biorach.

The name is Soay Norse origin and means "Sheep Island". In fact, Soay houses the original population of Soay sheep named after her.

The island is of volcanic origin and not very accessible. In earlier times it was occasionally visited by residents of the main island of Hirta, to hunt on Soay sheep.
