Sofia Boutella

Sofia Boutella ( born April 3, 1982 in Bab El Oued, Algeria) is a dancer, the most deals with hip- hop dance and breakdance. She was known for her collaboration with the sportswear manufacturer Nike.

Life

Boutella is the daughter of the composer, singer and choreographer Safy Boutella. She graduated at the Berklee College of Music and speaks English, French and Arabic.

At the age of five years Boutella began with the classical dance in Algeria. In 1992, when she was ten years old, she moved with her family to France. There, she worked on gymnastics and at 16 she became part of the national team that took part in the Olympic Games.

At 17, she attended a sports school and began there with the hip-hop dance to. She won several times in the hip-hop and breakdance competitions Battles de France.
