Softlab

The Softlab was a German IT consulting and services company.

The Softlab Group ( the name is formed from the words software and laboratory acronym) was founded in Munich in 1971 by Klaus Neugebauer, Gerhard Heldmann and Peter Schnupp. From 1992 to 30 September 2008, BMW was the sole shareholder. With effect from 1 October 2008, the BMW AG sold 74.9 % stake in NTT Data.

The company's headquarters was in Munich Zamdorf. In addition, the Softlab Group had offices in Ettlingen, Frankfurt, Cologne, Hanover, Hamburg and Vienna, Bern, Zurich, Birmingham, London and Atlanta.

The Softlab Group achieved in 2006 with approximately 1700 employees generated sales of 266 million euros.

And other subsidiaries. In January 2008, the companies of the Group have been merged Softlab Cirquent GmbH. Cirquent was gradually merged team branded NTT DATA from April 1, 2012 with its European sister companies Keane, Intelligroup and value. Only the Silverstroke GmbH (until 2009: Silverstroke AG), which the RFID Award from the Association VDEB won IT SME Association in 2008, was retained as an independent subsidiary.
